Once determined which VA education benefit program you may be eligible for, you can apply online at How To Apply For The GI Bill® | Veterans Affairs (va.gov). After completing your online application, you will receive a “Certificate of Eligibility (COE)” which you can submit a copy to the college at Veterans@cambridgecollege.edu. This will help us verify your eligibility and enrollment into the VA program.
The College will submit your tuition, fee, and course(s) schedule after the ADD/DROP, or the session to the VA for payment and based on your percentage eligibility. The payment from the VA will be submitted to the College to be applied towards your account. Your organization can let you know when they release the funds to the college towards your tuition and fees. If you are not covered 100%, then we recommend that you look into the “Yellow Ribbon Program” for eligibility or other funding methods such as financial aid, or payment plan to cover any remaining gap.
For eligibility questions, call GI Bill® Hotline: (888) 442-4551 or visit https://www.benefits.va.gov/gibill/contact_us.asp
The Veterans Administration has approved Cambridge College programs for VA benefit coverage. All students eligible to receive Veterans' benefits or Department of Defense Tuition Assistance while attending the College are urged to speak with their Educational Services Officer (ESO) or counselor within their military service regarding their plans prior to enrollment.
Enrollment Changes & Implications
Students should be aware, most benefits are dependent on enrollment. The College reports enrollment to the VA at regular intervals through the semester. Should a student’s enrollment change, there may be changes to the student’s benefit.
- Any changes in enrollment such as add/drops, withdrawals or separations, unsatisfactory progress, disciplinary actions, failing grades, incomplete grades, changes to tuition and fees, etc. are required to be reported to the VA.
- Changes in enrollment as indicated above may affect the total amount of benefits a student receives, and may result in the student being liable for an overpayment and/or be responsible to return the money to the VA. The VA may not pay for repeated courses or for courses in which a student withdraws (WD) or receives an incomplete grade (INC)
Yellow Ribbon Program
Cambridge College is proud to participate in the Yellow Ribbon Program to provide funding for tuition costs that are not covered by the Post-9/11 GI Bill®. Please visit our Yellow Ribbon Program page for more information.

A Veteran is defined as a prior Military Servicemember separated under other than “dishonorable” conditions.
A Military Servicemember is defined as a member of the United States Armed Forces (Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marine Corps, Navy, Space Force) that is currently serving on Active Duty, Guard or Reserve status. Members of the Guard and Reserves must be drilling members or on active duty. Servicemembers that are in the Inactive Ready Reserve (IRR) are not considered as currently serving for purposes of the Military benefit but may qualify for the Veteran benefit.
If you or someone you know is a Veteran in crisis or in need of mental health support, please visit our Resources for Veterans page.
