James M. Leahy of Holyoke, Mass. was recently elected chairman of the Westfield State Foundation Board of Directors. The Westfield State Foundation is the 501 (c)(3) organization that raises funds in support of Westfield State University. As chair of the Foundation Board, Leahy is responsible for managing fundraising and outreach efforts, as well as advocating on behalf of the James M. Leahy Foundation throughout the community.

Robert Goldberg -- Koch Chair, Executive in Residence, and MBA Executive Director at the Cambridge College School of Management -- spoke at the Canadian Embassy, Canadian Technology Accelerator on June 7 in New York City. His topic was: Hurdles Companies can Avoid When Entering the US Market. It is based on research and an article he wrote on the subject.

When we meet someone for the first time, we prejudge and lump them accordingly. We fail to take into consideration their life story. What made them into the human they have become? Many years ago, I went to see a live performance of a Christian play at a local church. While standing in line to enter the theater, there was a man dressed in ragged clothing, dirty, holding a cup and asking for money or food.
