Cambridge College senior faculty member Professor Colleen Goode received the Coalition Member of the Year Award at the Stoneham Substance Abuse Coalition Evening of Recognition Event. Middlesex DA Marion Ryan, along with Rep. Michael Day and Sen. Jason Lewis were in attendance. Professor Goode received the Coalition Member of the Year award for her work with students, teachers, coaches and school nurses in education and support.

Shelly MacNeill, Coalition Chair, explained, "Stoneham Public Schools created the position of a Substance Abuse and Behavioral Health Coordinator currently held by Professor Goode to address many of the issues that our youth are facing relative to substance use."

MacNeill added, "Colleen has been instrumental in creating a safe place for our young people. She also works with the Youth Coalition, a group of high school students advocating a drug-free lifestyle."
