Janice Mazzallo to Present at National Human Resources Conference

Janice Mazzallo, Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer

Janice Mazzallo, MM '98, Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer at PeoplesBank, will be presenting on “Fostering a Culture that Encourages and Rewards Employee Entrepreneurial Risk Taking” at the International Quality & Productivity Center: Talent Management Exchange on July 20 in Austin, TX. This particular conference is limited to senior executives. An expert on employee engagement, culture change, and life-work balance initiatives, Mazzallo has presented at two other recent national conferences as well and has been invited to speak at the Employee Benefit News: Benefits Forum & Expo in October.

Mazzallo’s presentations draw in part from her experiences at PeoplesBank, where as part of a leadership team that planned and implemented a new strategic direction, she was able to help establish a unique culture that focused on employee development, volunteerism, and mentorship. The bank can not only show a direct impact on its bottom line resulting from this culture shift, it also has received significant external recognition – including being named a Boston Globe “Top Place To Work” three years in a row as well as a Massachusetts Chamber “Employer of Choice.”
