Alumni Pride Event at CC-Puerto Rico

Alumni Pride Event at Cambridge College - Puerto Rico December 19

On Saturday, December 19, Cambridge College – Puerto Rico held an alumni pride event and celebration. At the event, Cambridge College staff, alumni and students shared their experiences and thoughts about the future.

Many alumni expressed their motivation to continue taking courses and pursuing degrees through Cambridge College. They are very proud and excited to be part of the recently organized CC-Puerto Rico Alumni Group. A 2008 alumni, Ana Cartagena, is promoting among her colleagues the importance and benefits of obtaining a degree at CC-Puerto Rico. Another alumni who attended the event is currently pursuing a doctoral degree at another American university located in Puerto Rico. She stated that she would have preferred to continue with CC-Puerto Rico because of the professionalism and care exhibited by our staff and faculty.  After completing her doctoral degree, she aims to join our faculty team.

Dr. Mendez, CC-Puerto Rico Director, spoke about the goals that we (staff, faculty and alumni) can reach together. He explained that a committed number of staff and faculty members will be in contact with alumni to strengthen the bonds and increase communications with the group. During the event, alumni received Cambridge College memorabilia, while staff and faculty members were gifted and recognized by Dr. Mendez.

The atmosphere at the event was full of energy and optimism. Attending alumni, staff and faculty members all agreed that this is a new moment for CC-Puerto Rico.  All of us will be working together for a brilliant future for the center’s growth.
