Wendy Pavlicek (MEd ’06) had a special moment with her Barred Owl before walking down the aisle to wed Nathan Tyburczy. Wendy, a Cambridge College science program alumna, is the Director of the Burlington Science Center. Her wedding took place this July in the woods of Southern New Hampshire.
Faculty News
Robert Goldberg -- Koch Chair, Executive in Residence, and MBA Executive Director at the Cambridge College School of Management -- spoke at the Canadian Embassy, Canadian Technology Accelerator on June 7 in New York City. His topic was: Hurdles Companies can Avoid When Entering the US Market. It is based on research and an article he wrote on the subject.
Alumni Spotlight
Maureen Socha, of Ludlow, was named assistant vice president for administration and facilities. Socha, who came to STCC in 2011, previously worked as senior director of facilities. Socha's responsibilities include the strategic as well as day-to-day management and operations of the Facilities Department. She also is responsible for the management and contract negotiations of purchased services. In addition, she plans and executes all capital projects and is responsible for managing all campus emergencies. Under the direction of Socha, the Facilities Department includes staff who maintain the buildings and grounds of the historic STCC campus and organize events, among other responsibilities. Socha earned her master's degree from Cambridge College in Springfield.
