Lois Breckenridge is one of two Cambridge College ISSP (Integrated Student Success Program) students and one of ten Massachusetts women to receive a $1,500 scholarship from Vital Impact this fall. The mission of Vital Impact, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, is to raise funds to provide life-changing scholarships for education to women in Massachusetts, who are at least 35 years of age and have a need for financial assistance, enabling them to transition to a more rewarding career and create the life they desire for themselves and future generations and building a community of empowerment and support.

"I am pursing my bachelor's degree in Human Services and I have an associate degree in Criminal Justice,” explained Lois. “I decided on a degree in Human Services to pursue a career related to the problems of drug addiction, domestic violence, and alcoholism. I hope to help massive amounts of people who are caught in the grip of street life and homelessness, and bring awareness to the prison population. I am also passionate about sharing hope to women, children, and men who are less fortunate."
